Rick took these last weekend.

sweet tooth

Maddie has her dad's sweet tooth. This is the evidence of a chocolate chip cookie.
She has also discovered MnM's. We used to have a ceramic pumpkin on the front table with MnM's. But last weekend while I was out running an errand, Madison decided she wanted some. So after a few, Rick tried to hide the pumpkin in the pantry. He moved it 3 times and she kept finding it. Dad isn't very good at saying no.

Dallas Zoo

Two weekends ago we went to the Dallas Zoo. It was a beautiful day. Madison loved all the animals as usual. Although we were a little disappointed in the lack of animals. We heard later that the Fort Worth Zoo is much better. Another day...



They did have a neat Children's area and playground that Madison enjoyed.

Hoodie

A couple of weeks ago Madison decided she needed to put her hoodie on after her bath. And she had to have her hood up.

Fun with Friends

So Madison didn't do this, but I had to share and to keep for future viewing.
I got an email last week from Carissa about Emaline. Here it is:

Oh, the cutest thing happened on Saturday afternoon. Emaline was playing in her kitchen and taking care of her babies when I heard her talking on her phone. I asked her who she was talking to and she said "Madison". :) She was telling Madison that she had a party for Halloween and asked why she wasn't there. Then I told her to ask Madison if she liked Dallas. Then she started to walk outside thru the doors to the backyard (still talking to Madison). About 30 seconds later, she came back inside and said, "Madison says I need a jacket" and then proceeded to get her jacket out of the hallway closet. :) I was cracking up! I thought it was so cute that she was thinking about Maddie and having this entire conversation with her. Don't you just love this age?

Halloween

So here are the great pictures of Madison in her Halloween costume! Oh wait, Madison wouldn't put on her Halloween costume!
We tried for about a hour to get her in it. Even suggested she put on her costume like the kids that had come to the door. And that we could go outside if she would put it on, but no. Oh and no is her favorite word. The last week I think that is all she has said. So I've got a good deal on a ladybug costume size 2T if anyone is interested. Never been worn.
I did take this pics earlier in the day on Halloween. I switched out some of the clothes in Madison's dresser and found this hat. She loved wearing in even though it was 75 degrees outside.

More Arkansas

Arkansas Day 3

Saturday morning we were starting to feel better and we had planned to go to Roaring River State Park. But Madison decided she needed a morning nap. So we let her sleep from 9-10 and then headed out. Spencer, Sarah, Ashley and Cy had already left. We went to the fish hatchery at the park and then found the kids later.

We found Ashley and Cy down by river. Cy was fly fishing and Ashley was just hanging out. Sarah and Spencer were off hiking. These were pictures of us just hanging out by the river.

Arkansas Day 2

Day 2 in Arkansas. Rick and I were supposed to go climbing all day, but Madison and I had some stomach issues, so we just hung out at the cabin.

We did paint pumpkins that evening. The one on the right is the one my Mom painted. Madison painted the one in left.

Madison had lots of energy all day, but she also slept a lot. she took a 3 hours nap, went to bed at 6, woke up at 8pm and went back to bed a little before 9. This pic is from between 8-9. She mostly cuddled with dad.

Arkansas or bust

Thursday the 23rd we got up early and started out on our long journey. A 6 hour drive to Garfield Arkansas. All in all Madison and Sadie did really well. We met My parents, Spencer, Sarah, Ashley, Cy and the 3 other dogs and my mom's cousin's lake house on Beaver Lake. This pics are from right after we got there. We were exploring the dock. Madison thought the whole place was really cool.

i'm a big kid now

The night before we left for Arkansas, We changed Madison's highchair to a booster seat. This is a picture of her the next morning. She was so excited to sit in the chair.

After the pumpkin patch, Madison decided she needed to put her pants on all by herself. Which would be fine except that she put them on over her shorts.
