water baby
Saturday we got the sprinkler out and ran through it. (it was 95 on Saturday). Madison decided she needed to water the plants with the sprinkler and turn it upside down. Then ran through the sprinkler as fast as she could. She also put together the outfit, picking out the swimsuit and insisting on the headband after the ponytail was already in. And she likes to tell us she wants a "baby one". That means we just turn the sprinkler on a little bit.

lots of hot air
Two weekends ago we went to the Plano Hot Air Balloon Festival. Everyone sits up on this hill and looks down on the field where the balloons are. They had a launch about 6:15 with about 12 balloons. And then at 8ish they had the glow. Which is about 20 or 25 balloons packed into thefield and they all turn on their fire at the same time. Madison had a great time running around and seeing all the people and balloons. However she refused to go to the bathrooms in the port-a potties because they didn't flush so she said they were dirty. Too funny.
Check out Rick's blog for some really great pics of the balloons.

hike away
Maddie has a library book about a little boy going on a safari. He sees all the animals, says a little rhyme and then says "hike away" to each animal. Here is Madison reading the book. She doesn't get all the words, but still really impressive seeing how we had probably read the book less than 10 times. The video is kind of long, but very cute.

Flowers
We had a perfect weather on Friday so we headed back to the arboretum. Mom and Dad had not seen half of the place, so we checked it out and had a great lunch at on the outside patio.

Spinning at the gazebo. We each had to take turns spinning with her.

They have a Texas town there also with a lots of little wooden buildings. The one below is the schoolhouse. I think we had to drag Madison out because she loved it so much.

ready for the next trip
Madison is ready for the next camping trip. She has been practicing using the camelback and, as you can see, is apparently ready to go right now.
the things that happen in life
I really have been meaning to post pictures forever. But life happened. First it was just something I needed to do. Then Madison dropped the laptop and it didn't work. Luckily it just needed a new hard drive and my husband is very handy so he fixed it himself. Then I started painting the hallway and that became more important. So here we are a month later, finally posting.
