A couple of weeks ago Madison and I went to the mall one Sunday while Rick was at work. I just had to go the Disney store, and I had to buy Maddie a couple of things, including this plush Minnie. She LOVES to carry it around with her everywhere. And she always holds it by the arm. It cracks us up!

Last weekend Rick asked me how old I thought Madison needed to be before we could go camping. I guess she might be ready sooner than later. She is checking out the REI catalog. But then she tore it up....

Happy Valentine's Day

So I forgot that Thursday was Valentine's Day. So Madison wore her Valentine's outfit on Sunday instead. That morning we had brunch with Roshni, Kerri, Lisa and Ivy.
Then that afternoon we went to Grandame and Grandpa Dave's for dinner. This pics are from their house.

weekly update

For the last week we've been dealing with stomach issues. I picked M up early from daycare on Tuesday because everyone else at daycare was throwing up and M was having some nice diaper issues. She finally got better on Friday, but Rick and I split days at home again. Then Friday night, Rick got sick and spent the day in bed Saturday. So M and I had some quality time together. I think everyone is finally well now, but it was a long week. And on top of that, I had to study for my test! Oh well, at least the week and the test are over! Now if we can just get some nice weather!!
I need to get some new pics of Maddie. She wants to walk everywhere and will only let me hold one hand. She is still wobbly, but she is wearing me out! All she wants to do is walk.

Daddy's little girl

The first weekend in February, we took Madison to the mall and she rode the merry-go-round for the first time. Of course we forgot the camera. She wasn't really sure about it, but she seemed to like it. Especially when she say Dad as we came around each time.

first overnight babysitters

A couple of weeks ago Mom and Dad had a night out while Madison had her first overnight babysitters. Grandma and Grandpa came up for the weekend and gave us 2 nights out. Friday we went to a movie. (Juno! Loved it!). And then Saturday night we had a nice dinner at Pierponts and stayed at a hotel room. We slept in until 8:15 and were super excited about sleeping in that late!
Madison did great with Grandma and Grandpa, although she was very excited when we got home.

Madison is not at all scared of Sadie. She loves to crawl or walk up to Sadie and "pet" her. She doesn't grab fist fulls of fur anymore, but she isn't quite gentle either. But Sadie is very patient.

No, my daughter is not freakishly tall

So for some reason when I updated everyone on Madison's 9 month check-up, I said that she was 17 lbs and 44 in tall. She is really 27.5 in tall. I have no idea where I got 44 in from. I guess I'm suffering from sun-deprivation and I need it to be srping so I don't lose my mind!

Mom passed her test!!

So I can finally blog again because I passed my test! I took a test for work. Its called the LEED test. Its basically all about building and designing in a sustainable way. Anyway, I've made myself study for the last couple of weeks after Madison went to bed. So I had no time for any fun stuff. But now I can catch up!
