Pictures with Santa
I forgot to upload the picture we took with Santa. Except for whispering to Santa, she did a great job. She told him she wanted a Baby Ariel. Good thing she got one.

Christmas at the Davis-Garners
We stayed in Wichita until the morning of the 27th, then headed back to KC and Christmas with Rick's Family. Madison had great fun with Luke, like usual. And we had more presents and good food.

The Post Christmas
After Christmas casserole at home, we loaded up the car and headed for Wichita. We had a late lunch and presents with my family. Santa brought stocking gifts to my parent's house as well, so we had to take the traditional sitting on the stair picture before we could come down and open our stockings. Then Madison helped Grandpa hand out the gifts until she got distracted by her new things. Good time had by all.

Christmas morning at home!
We switched things up a little this year and decided we wanted to be at our house for Christmas Morning. This only worked because we are able to be back in KC...
Anyway, it was fun to wake up in our house and go down to see what Santa brought. I don't think Madison realized what the dollhouse was at first, but she played with it all morning once she did. She also had lots of fun helping us open our gifts. All in all a great Christmas and we are very blessed.

Christmas party
I signed up to help with the Christmas Party at school, so we got to bring treats and goodie bags. It was fun to visit the classroom for part of the morning and see what its like. The kids did a great job of getting green frosting all over their faces. Maddie has her back to us. Hank is on her left and Noah on her right. Then Molly and Sheyra are the other 2 girls at the table.

oh holy night
Madison's class at school put on a Nativity play in mid-December. They had been taking turns playing all the parts during practice, so I wasn't sure what she would be when I showed up. But she got to play a wise man. And with a pink crown, it was perfect! Unfortunately my camera was full of pictures so the video didn't work. But she did a great job and loved her outfit!
first snow of the season
We didn't get as much snow as it looks like in the picture, but as soon as it snowed, Madison wanted to go out and play. Lucky for her it wasn't that cold, or Mommy would have not lasted. She was very upset that the snow wasn't good snow man material, but she had fun none the less. I should have seen this as just the beginning of our trips out to play in the snow.
Its a boy!
December 10th we found out we are having a baby brother! I didn't include the money shot here, but believe me, its a boy. Madison had only been talking about wanting a baby sister and turned her nose up any time I mentioned a brother. But then about 4 days before the sonogram, she said to me in the car, "mom you know I like boys, I want a baby brother!" As soon as she said that I had a feeling it was a boy, and she was right! Since then she seems to be very excited about her baby brother. Let's hope she feels that way once he is here :)
Thanksgiving
We headed to Wichita for Thanksgiving. Madison was super excited to see cousin Isaac and Anna (her third cousin). Maddie had a great time with all the girls and was sad when it was time to go. Although we did meet them at the movie later that night to see Tangled.
Ashley also made a Mt Everest cake for my mom's cousin Dave and his son-in-law Brian who had just gotten back from Mt Everest Base Camp. Lots of fun stories!

Annie
The weekend before Thanksgiving, Becky and Georgia invited us to see a production of Annie. One of Becky's students was in it and she was able to get us tickets. Madison had no idea what she was in for, but she fell in love. Becky gave us a copy of the music and Emaline let us borrow the movie and Madison became obsessed. I think we listened to or watch Annie for about 3 weeks straight. Thanks Keely girls!
