2nd easter egg hunt

We went to Dave and Darlene's for dinner on Sunday. We had another Easter egg hunt and Madison did great until she got distracted by the cat's toys.
We also brought her Easter basket over for her to open. I accidentally bought edible grass for her basket. Good thing, since that was the first thing she did.

1st easter egg hunt

We didn't make it to church this year because Madison has been sick since Friday. But we did have a easter egg hunt inside after her morning nap. Once she figured out what was going on, she loved it! She also loved to carry around her purse and put the eggs in it once she found them.

Easter presents

Madison got a package in the mail on Friday from her cousin Luke (and Renny and Brian). As you can see she loved the card. Or rather loved to eat the card. She and Sadie both loved the wind-up bunny!! And the purple bunny is really soft. Thanks Luke!

pjs

Thursday morning I had to get a pictures of Maddie in her Disney pjs. They are really stretchy and they made her look super skinny. And apparently she was excited about me taking the picture.

merry go round

Saturday since it was so cold, Rick, Madison and I went to the mall for a while.
Madison and I rode the merry go round twice. It was hard to get a good picture as we went around because Madison never looked at Rick and just the right time. She did seem to enjoy it.

bunny ears

We bought Madison some bunny ears in preparation for Easter.
Sometimes she likes to wear them.

Sometimes she is not quite so interested.

Sweet face.

new flash, funny faces and new purse

Rick has been experimenting with an external flash on the camera. So last week I had a work dinner one night and Rick took several pictures of Maddie.
This first picture is all Rick. He makes this face often. I guess she has noticed.

This picture just cracks me up.

Madison has discovered one of my purses. She loves to carry it around now. And you can see her smiling through her pacifier.

in a box

We put Madison in one of her storage boxes the weekend before last.
She seemed to enjoy it. She was just reading her book.

what's new

Madison is now a steady walker. Although occasionally she is still a little drunk. She is getting good at communicating what she wants. She helps us let Sadie outside. And will look for Sadie and Dad when I ask where they are. She understands when I ask her if she is hungry, which she always is. (Wonder where she got that.) And she is always excited for her bath. She stills loves to point and clap. She is working on finger foods, but is pretty picky.
We are starting a new daycare on March 17th. Hopefully the transition for Madison and I will both be smooth. I'm guessing she'll do better than I will. We are also getting new car seats this weekend for M. She is only 19 lbs, so she might have to wait a couple of weeks to turn around, but hopefully she will like the new digs.
And, of course, we have that big birthday party to plan. I need to get my act together!

chip off the old block

Tonight Madison turned on the TV for the first time tonight. And as you can see, she was watching Sportscenter! Girl after my own heart. (And her dad's too).

hannah montana already?

Spencer being the funny guy that he is gave me a Hannah Montana birthday card this weekend for my birthday.
Little did he know that Madison is already a fan. She carried the card around on Sunday. And again this morning. She is also showing off her new favorite thing to do. I think she is trying to make monkey noises, but she is not quite there. So its more like "ewww ewww ewww".

first full weekend away

Grandma and Grandpa Post and Aunt Ashley came up this weekend to entertain Madison this weekend so Rick and I could have a weekend away. We are also practicing for our trip in May. 6 nights is going to be a lot harder than this one weekend. But Rick and I had a great time. We went to Weston.
Madison also had a great time with the Posts. Spencer and Sarah came over to help too. Here are some photos from Grandpa.

Madison's first walk in her new stroller.

swinging

more swinging

Madison was very happy when Rick and I got home. She wouldn't let me put her down for quite a while.

first walk outside

Last Friday was so nice out, we took Madison outside to practice walking on the grass. She was not too excited about it. I think she didn't understand why it was uneven. So we just took some cute pics.

pump it up!

One of the sales reps that calls on our office had a Pump it Up Party for designers in town that have kids. For those of you that don't know, Pump it up is a place that has 2 rooms with 3 inflatable playgrounds. You spend 3om minutes in one and then shift to the next room. Madison was just barely old enough to go, so she probably didn't get the full benefit. But she had a great time! I had fun too, but I was exhausted afterward.

Ready for spring

A cute picture of Madison back on Feb 22nd. Mom is ready for spring so she can wear some dresses!
