Here we picked up Spence and went to Eastbourgh Park. Sarah walked up with Lucy and hung out with us. Then we went to Watermark Bookstore for lunch afterwards where Madison enjoyed her cupcake.

a favorite toy
Madison's favorite toy here in Wichita has by far been Spencer. Let's face it, Spencer is a kid at heart. He will run and jump and climb all over with her and she loves it. One of the first times we hung out after we got here, Spencer told us about losing his wedding ring. He said it probably fell out of his pocket "because I'm upside down at least once a day." That made me laugh so hard. But its true.

Mother's Day
Mother's Day was a little crazy for us and apparently I didn't document it well. Maddie and I went back up to KC because Renny was coming to KC with Baby Ella to surprise Grandame. Maddie and I still had not met Ella, so were excited to see them. Friday we went to lunch and the grocery store for our outing. Saturday we went shopping at the Legend's. At the rest of the weekend we just hung at and played with Ella. Madison was really good about letting me hold Ella and she was gentle with her for the most part.
Then Sunday morning we headed back to Wichita time in time for Sarah's baby shower. My mom and sister did take pictures of that event, but they are damaged somehow. Madison did really great at the shower decorated a couple of onesies and helping Sarah unwrap almost every single gift. Thanks to Sarah for being patient with her.
And then that night Ashley, Cy, Grandma, Grandpa, Madison and I all went out for dinner and it was Ashley's and my treat for Mother's Day. Crazy weekend but lots of fun.

new park and library
That first week back in Wichita, we took a trip to the Andover Library with a park close by. We got to the library at the end of storytime, but Madison wasn't sure she was interested. So we looked at books and puzzles at the library and then went next door to the park for a while. A week or so later, Maddie and I went back to the library and actually stayed for storytime. Madison calls this the ladybug park.
This was before we left. She did not want her picture taken.

little brown dress
Back in Wichita, Madison and I spent the weekend alone taking care of the doggies. (G&G were at a wedding). On Sunday when G&G were headed back home, Madison wanted to wear a pretty dress for when they got it. And the pigtails were my idea. We had to pose by the flowers because we love to look at the flowers!

Deanna Rose
Right after we left Dallas, we spent a couple days in Wichita. And then headed on up to KC to try to find a house. Rick had a week off between jobs. So we spend time with his folks, saw some friends, ate lots of good food, and looked at a lot of houses.
One day for fun we went to Deanna Rose just the 3 of us. Of course Maddie thought it was the best place ever and didn't want to leave.
Making friends.
Our little flower.

More friends.
And she didn't want to share the tractors either.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come. (at the one room school house).
