tattoos?

Madison got some free stickers in the mail on Saturday from Highlights magazine. I think she had already taken her clothes off before we opened the mail, but she proceeded to put every sticker on her legs. Rick is afraid she is going to want lots of tattoos. Hopefully just the temporary ones.
And yes, those are her Sleeping Beauty high heels behind her.

hand me downs, sort of

So I've discovered what to do with any shirts I no longer what. I'm going to give them to my daughter. She loves to wear my shirts as dresses. I wore this shirt last Wednesday and as soon as we got home Madison wanted to wear it. You'll notice she needs a tank top underneath to make it not so risque, but the tie in the back helps.

the posts

The Posts. Pretty good looking group. Its funny, I used to be the blond and Ashley was the brunette...

its magic

Saturday evening we had a big dinner at the house to celebrate birthdays.
Before dinner Spencer was entertaining Madison with a magic trick. She was fascinated and made him do the magic trick over and over. Unfortunately I stopped this video a little too soon. Right after this she got the giggles.

rain drops keep falling on my head

Saturday afternoon it rained pretty hard. Grandpa thought it would be fun to go walking in the rain. Madison put on Grandma's fancy rain shirt that had sleeves that zipped off. Perfect fit!

skater

Saturday morning we had breakfast at Sugar Sisters and then went to see Spencer and Sarah's new house. Spencer found his skateboard and took Madison for a ride. We already new this, but Madison is going to love any roller coster or amusement park ride.

argyle

Friday night we went out to dinner. Not planned at all, Madison and Grandma matched.

goggle eyes

The weekend before last Madison and I went to Wichita for a visit. Friday morning we went swimming at the fancy new YMCA pool. Then stopped back by the Crestview pool for some lunch and a little more swimming before nap. Madison found these goggles in the swim toys at the pool and thought there were the greatest.

Growing so fast

This morning I handed Madison a shirt and asked her to put it on. She handed it back to me and said "This doesn't fit me." First of all, how does she remember that it doesn't fit? (In all honestly it was a little tight last time she wore it) And why does she have to sound so grown up? I love that she is talking so much, but it does make me sad sometimes too. Where is my little baby...

rainin'

Tonight Madison told us "it been rainin' for days." Even though its been 100 for about a week now.  She even wore her raincoat to school today.

summer fun

Madison and I decide to run through the sprinklers on Friday since it has been so hot! Madison also wore her adorable new swimsuit that Aunt Renny got for her.

And she finally wears the Halloween costume

Madison wanted to play dress up on Friday. I suggested the ladybug costume she wouldn't wear for Halloween last year. Its supposed to be 2t which is Madison's size, but it is really short. Maybe she is just tall. Sure would have been a cute costume...

new undies

Madison loves to take her clothes off these days. We are doing pretty good with the potty training, but we still have our accidents. She does love her new undies though.

circus time

August 2nd the circus came to town! We took Madison to the morning show. We went a little early for the Pre-show. We got to get up close with the Elephant, ride the pretend horse and try on some costumes. We didn't make it through the entire circus. It was pretty loud so we left about 12:30. Rick said it was kind of like vegas for kids, but we had fun.

RIck's Birthday

Rick's birthday was the 24th of July. Madison and I made him a cake and he opened presents when he got home from work. Madison wanted to open the presents before Rick even got a chance. And the red velvet cake was very delicious, if I do say so.
