texas state fair

You know what they say, everything is bigger in Texas. We went to the State Fair this weekend and talk about big! It last for almost a month. Next weekend is the Red River Showdown (OU vs Texas) which is the weekend not to go. And we'll be in KC anyway.
We took the shuttle from downtown and while Madison enjoyed the ride, she did not sit still. Not a good sign for that plane ride this weekend. We got there a little after 10, left a little after 12 and we had had plenty. We managed to share a corndog (best I think I've had), a cheeseburger, fries and some fried cheesecake. We did pass up the newest menu item this year, chicken fried bacon.
We visited the barnyard exhibit which was Madison's favorite. And we also rode the Skyway. She loved that too. We did manage to pass up all the carnival games and rides since M was too little for them all. Good thing because they were kind of expensive to ride. Anyway, fun time had by all, but we might go every other year.

Madison's first corndog

Madison discovered ketchup. She is into sauces lately. Although instead of biting off the fry with the ketchup, she goes back for more ketchup and licks it off. Talk about double dipping.

The Skyway

Doesn't even show how big it is.
