you got a friend in me

This is Madison's outfit for our family outing to see Toy Story 3 in the theater. She took Jessie and Bullseye but they stayed in the car for the movie. It was a big hit. I cried like a baby. I don't think Madison understood the sad part, but she loved it.

A dress-up party

At the end of June, the Braley's came over for dinner. Alex, Chris and Madison got along great. I think they pulled out every toy there is in the house. They also found the dress up clothes and all 3 put on a dress. We didn't get a picture of Alex, but Madison and Chris happily posed. Thanks for the visit Braleys! It was great to hang out.

Woody's roundup

Madison practicing for the Toy Story movie. We had not got to see it yet, but she was ready. She is also sitting on her slide taking a "nap".

Happy Father's day

For Father's Day, Madison decided we needed to make cupcakes. So we made them the Friday before Father's Day and surprised Rick when he got home. Madison has her shirt off because I was afraid she would get chocolate icing all over her shirt. I suggested she wear her paint shirt over her other clothes, but she preferred to undress. Should we be worried?

The big move

We finally closed on a house June 9th. And the movers showed up that afternoon with our stuff. They got about half way unpacked before it started to rain. So we slept on a mattress on the floor that night and they finished the next day. Ever since we have been unpacking, hanging pictures and in general trying to figure out where to put everything. We also have the ever growing list of things we want to do to the house. But all in good time.
We are having someone paint inside on the first floor in a few weeks. So after that I'll get inside pics up.
And we are excited to be back in KC! Please come by and see us whenever. We are happy to have visitors !

The Keelys

Memorial Weekend we met the Keelys at Tanganyika Wildlife Park just outside of Wichita. Its like a little zoo but you can pet the Kangaroos and feed the Lemurs. And there is a playground of course. It was fun a fun place to hang out with Becky, Brandon, Georgia, Sam and their grandparents.

Catching Butterflies

Maddie has a book about a little girl trying to catch a butterfly. So that gave Grandma and I the idea that we should go to Botanica and see the newly hatching butterflies. It's the only time you can actually catch a butterfly. Every year they bring in new butterflies for the Butterfly House. The ship them as cocoons. And then when they hatch they are not ready to fly just yet. So that is when you can hold them for about 20 minutes before they fly away. Maddie only held them for a little while because it felt funny, but she loved being close to them.
