party time

Tonight Madison and I were playing with playdoh when she turned to me and said "Party time". And then she ran for her tea party set that Emaline gave her. We have tea parties most nights these days, but that was the first time she had referred to it as party time. Too funny. Tonight's party guests were baby, Ariel, Daisy, Tigger, mommy and daddy.

Another great Mother's day

I had another great weekend with my family. Rick and Madison made me a red velvet cake that was really tasty and gave me flowers. I also got some new furniture for the living room! Awesome. We had a great day having tea parties, doing puzzles, playing with the playdoh, going to lunch, and hanging out outside. And Rick got some good pics of Maddie and I. As you can see I even got a hug and a kiss. :)

Bubbles

Madison loves bubbles. I mean loooooves bubbles. But she won't let us blow the bubbles for her. She has to do it, and she is not that good yet.

another new nightgown

Madison loves her princess nightgown I got her a couple of weeks ago. So much so that we have had trouble getting her to wear anything else to bed. So I bought a couple more nightgowns so she has something else to wear to bed. A Minnie Mouse nightgown and a Ariel nightgown. Too funny.

Poor Sadie

Sadie is already hot down here in the Big D. So on Friday I took her to get a haircut. We've have trimmed her ourselves, but she has never had an all over haircut before. We think she looks naked and that she is embarrassed, but we also think she feels better. Hopefully it was worth it.

2 year check up

On April 24th we finally had Madison's 2 year check up (I called to make the appt a little late). She weighs 26lbs (45%) and is 35in (80%). She is slowly getting taller percentage wise. When she was born I think she was in the 25% for her age, but each appt the percentage for height goes up. So maybe she will get the tall genes from her Dad's side.
Other than that it was pretty uneventful. Oh and the best part of the appt was no shots! Mom loves it when there are no shots.
After we got home from the appt, Madison decided we need to have a tea party. So she invited her baby, her pink dog and tigger. This is now a very common occurance, but the guest list is constantly changing.

spinning in my new nightgown

I found this nightgown for Madison a month or so ago, but it wasn't warm enough to wear until last week. Now, I can't get her to wear anything else to bed. This video is the first night she put it on. She loves to spin in her dresses so that is what she is doing. (Sorry its turned. I keep forgetting that we can't figure out how to rotate the movies.)
