One last photo from the weekend of the pack of dogs we had. They were all very attentive to Rick when he had treats. I think he was trying to get the all to sit.

More 4th

After Botanica, we went to lunch at a wonderful place in Old Town called Cafe Moderne. Great food and gelato! Then we walked to the fountain in the center of the square. Maddie thought it was great.

happy 4th of July

For the 4th we dressed Madison in her star spangled dress and went back to Botanica with Rick, my mom and Ashley. Sorry for so many pictures, but Rick and Ashley both had their cameras.
In this first picture, Madison is checking out the butterfly.

grandpa's starting bad habits

Grandpa is already a bad influence on Madison. He thought she might like playing on top of the pool table. Not exactly safe. She did like pointing to the Jayhawk on the pool table light though.

Aunt Ashley

Aunt Ashley was in town this weekend with Cy, her puppy, Laika and her cat, Cricket. Madison loved Cricket, but Cricket is not much of a cuddler. So when the cat actually came out of hiding, Madison tried her hardest to pet Cricket. She even tried to kiss her once. Laika was more friendly to Madison, although not completely comfortable. Overall, the animals did very well this weekend. In the picture below, Madison is giving Laika a hug.
Madison also said Ashley this weekend, or at least Ash.
